You're around Brighton way aren't you? Sure it wasn't one of "those" movie nights? lol
Haha, at least that would explain it, rather than people just being bloody odd and sticking to the exact seat number in an empty cinema. I mean, you move to the best seat right ?

lol yep. I've never sat in the right seat, mind you you're spoilt for choice here, going to watch again in a couple of hours and we'll probably be the only ones in there.

If you follow boyega on Twitter, he's surprising people in cinemas going to see the film. Amazing that.

I look forward to seeing Daisy Ridley in my favourite £5 lap dancing bar.

Seen it twice now. Many more questions than the last time regarding future plot lines. There's a lot of potential. A lot of clues slipped in that I didn't see the first time. Will post tomorrow.

Saw it last night, and I'm made up with that.
Spectacular, tragic, uplifting, bonkers and genuinely funny. It balanced a referential tone and storyline with introductions of terrific and compelling new characters, and gave more than enough wow and wit to compensate for what is, in fairness, a bit of recycling in the plot.
This had everything that the prequels so sorely lacked, proper rounded characters with dynamics and motivation. Even the bad guys were more than just pantomime villains. The effects had a physicality and the cinematography was often breathtaking. Script was zippy and charming, and the acting was always at least perfectly fine, and sometimes genuinely quite moving.

Star Wars badly needed a kick up the arse after those dismal prequels and this really delivered for me.
This was the film I was looking for.

I definitely enjoyed it, thought it was really well crafted and a great movie.
I thought however it was somewhat overly samey and predictable, but perhaps that's just me.
Didn't have me at the end of my seat as some movies do.
I'll watch it again sometime soon.
