Patterson backed up defensively by Richy's hard work, he pushes further up and in when on the attack.

Problem for me is seeing at least three of this lineup making mistakes on the reg. The back line is shibite.

Really 3 years. In 2019/20 season he got 12 goal contributions in 25 league games. And I think that season was less than 2 yrs ago, but I couid be wrong.

I bet Doucoure has never had 12 goal contributions, in his career even when he’s played 38 games.

Ali had been out of form, is that hi attitude? Of field issues? Confidence?
Or the managers sine Pochettino.
I suppose time will tell if he can get back to his best, but a 75% Ali is better than Doucoure and anyone who thinks Doucoure is better, need to give their head a wobble

Itll be really hard come tuesday. Lampard has the defense and midfield playmuch closer together, and combined also a lot higher. Id try VdB at Gomes place, and Gomes for Allan. Then see how game unfolds and put Alli as a sub. Maybe see if El Ghazi is better at Gordons place but even if the latter wasnt the best today, he has such pace that he is a good fit with Gray around Richy. Ive no clue about Ghazis pace. But on todays form, with that team I wouldnt change too much, with the notion that all subs also played fantastic.

I think we might set upon a more solid 4231 away at barcodes.
Allan/VDB in midfield Alli ahead of them flanked by Gordon and Gray with Richy up front best not to risk DCL.

Hopefully we reach a place where we can reliably rotate attacking players and keep them happy/healthy like tops clubs have to do. I think we at least have options on the wing/attack which is usually not the case.

I think certainly for the Newcastle game, we know that Howe likes 433, it would make sense to match them up. Lampard mentioned we may have to be patient with dele, so he could be in the bench.

I think this is pretty close to the line up for Tuesday. I do think we need the extra man in midfield to go man for man with Newcastle. Front three looked great today so if all recover ok I wouldn’t risk the fitness of DCL. Only question is RB, I know we want to see Patterson but if multiple managers aren’t playing him yet there’s a reason so if not Coleman may be Kenny.
