I had such high hopes for Moshiri and Walsh.

A highly intelligent results focused owner with the resources to help us compete.

A director of football to oversee recruitment and ensure the squad would be balanced whoever the manager was and would be sensibly built up over time to enable us to compete.

Reality is we have a clown of an owner and a director of football seemingly with (1) either no influence over who we buy (2) who has no idea over building a squad.

So who is responsible for signing young players.
Managerial jobs are in the main short term , so first team managers only want players for the first team squad and don’t have much interest in signing players for the youth sections.
We’ve signed a lot of younger players and I doubt this would happened without Walsh being here.
I will give you that signings for the first team have been hit and miss with some duplication and some glaring omissions but that can’t all be down to Walsh.
No one knows how things worked with Koeman in charge.
Maybe Walsh gave Koeman a list of strikers and Koeman said no and pinned his hopes on Giroud
We will never know.
The same group of scouts who have been doing it for decades!!! He’s just a scout with a ‘kin suit and a briefcase. Its just one of these modern day ‘trendy’ type of BS rolls.

Nonsense call to let go of Walsh.

His primary role is to bring in potential young players and remain so for as long as he’s with us. He is brought in solely to supervise and implement the mode of Chelsea, which is to snap up potential youth, developed and recycle their transfer worth. This is a tried and trusted policy to sustain the club in the Long run.

His other role will be a counter check on managers dodgy recruitment plan. I’m sure we don’t want to see Niasse v2.0 ever happening again.

It’s far too early to cry about his appointment and all our potential signing will probably bear fruit in a couple of Seasons time. If their development path is as expected, their combine worth could fund us a new stadium.

Well he's failed miserably there hasn't he! Youth recruitment is one thing and we can't fully judge him on that because it's far to early but what we can say with absolute clarity is that never in the history of Everton Football Club have we seen so much money squandered on 1st team players. It's been an absolute disaster and Walsh is clearly not up to that side of the job. He needs to go.

The other side of the coin from adopting the Chelsea model is that you can effectively forego developing your own young players and from what i've been told Moshiri isn't bothered about that side of the equation.

I hate this fella and his bent mate, Fat Sam, having access to our transfer funds.

Another couple of windows of this fraud wrecking us.

Theo Walcott on huge wages and a £20m+ feel at 29 years of age, couldn’t make it up.
