It's nearly time...

Let's get a manager in who can actually be arsed to put their own system in place and scout their own players. No need for this worthless role then.

I think there is some value in a DOF role, but it’s a tough role to fill because the candidate has to be very switched on in both the commercial side of the club but also the on pitch/tactical aspects as well.

Steve Walsh is certainly proving himself to be out of his depth. I’d sooner leave it to the manager to fulfil those roles than have him in the job.

I'm yet to see this continental role be a success in England. Look at the trouble Conte is having with it at Chelsea. Liverpool and Tottenham also struggled whilst having one.

I think it’s now very likely that we will see Walsh and Allerdyce depart the club.

Walsh before the seasons out and Allerdyce when the season finishes.

All the noise indicates that the DOF from PSV is Moshiri’s man to replace Walsh.
Dutch football is very weak so I hope the appointment is made on the mans credentials rather than the achievements of PSV in a weak league.

It's made due to some of the players he's brought in to that PSV team mate who've gone on to much better leagues for s huge profit.

He has worked successfully for a fair whilst now in the role as well so not s case of a risk if he can do the job with zero experience, Chelsea wanted him which is say was a good sign as they recruit very well

City, Chelsea and Leicester all have one, that's the last 5 league title winners, yeah would hate it though if we had all troubles Chelsea have because of it, if I could see the trouble through all the trophies they've won using this model.

This...why the hell do we need a dof?? Interestingly there is an article in the Guardian today which mentions the Sigurdson saga (veering into Python territory there lol) where the Swansea owners mention that they were having to deal with "multiple voices" coming out of Goodison ....it would appear that the right hand had no clue what the left was doing. Get rid!
