By any metric he's pretty much failed spectacularly at it.

Recruitment? Failed

Have a consistent message across all levels? Failed

Contracts? Failed

Scouting? Failed

He makes Elstone not look like the most incompetent person employed at the club

It's only took Elstone about 10 years to have a rival to his crown of crapness but Steve Walsh has just stormed in and in the space of 18 months destroyed Elstones superb crap record and time after time created new crapness all by himself.

I fairness that last one is quite an accomplishment.

Bill seems to escape alot of criticism now Walsh and Mosh are here. But he is still involved in transfers as far as we know.

Thing is Walsh came in once Moshiri was here, ive been hinking about this, since Mosh came some of the things that have happened and some of the people that have come to Everton have been a full on disaster, much worse then when Bill had the train set all to himself

Yeah your probably right, but things like Rooney coming back have Bill's fingerprints all over it, im sure he still sticks his two pence worth in when required, you know what Bill is like.

Rooney has been fine. He came on a free and has scored over 10 goals not even playing as striker.

He's had a few bad games but who hasn't and without his goals we would have been in a lot more trouble.

Im not complaining about him, god knows where we would be without the goals he has scored and even though he is nowhere near the player he was a few years ago, he is still loads better than the majority of the rest of the current squad.
