I was reading about Wenger's departure before and I became aware of something which had hitherto passed me by, namely the recent restructuring of Arsenals recruitment team . They have Senllehi , Barcelona's former DoF as something called Head of Football Relations and the guy from Dortmund Mislintat as Head of Recruitment.
I wondered if with us purportedly 'examining ways for Brand and Walsh to work together', whether we were envisioning a similar recruitment structure at Everton.?
Just a thought in passing anyway.

The difference is Liverpool have had CL to attract half these lads.

..the difference is that the Reds have a team strategy and buy players to fit it. It doesn’t matter how much you pay for players who make a positive contribution to success. Our problem is that Koeman bought players and Walsh bought players seperately with no vision or integrated approach. The concern is that Walsh is still there.

LFC have had a more successful transfer for years now. Sure they have bought loadsa rubbish but they have lucked
out on three or four top players. We had Lukaku and Stones under Martinez but since then what?

Its a statistical challenge to buy so many and find that almost all of them are crap/failed/in the pending tray.

of course it does not help that you have a manager whose major objective is to say I took over when the team was 14th and now its
11th or similar.
