Don't remember many on here thinking Walsh was crap when we attained him, myself included. But it's right to get shut, found out to be out of his depth. Just hope we already have a replacement, unlike the charade when we sacked Koeman.

We’ll never know if Koeman overpowered him on transfers or if some of them were his pick. Either way he’s not suited to a director of football role if you can’t stop your manager from buying complete dross.

I never had him as rubbish based on his history of scouting players, but never felt it was the correct decision to give him so much responsibility as the director of football.

It's like taking the flavour of the month secretary from Burnley, simply because they are the surprise package in the league this season, and making him our new CEO. Diabolical, Everton.

At the time it was the supposed " dream team " Koeman and Walsh. In hindsight if only we would have got Monchi and Emery ( spellings ).

What history is that?

A few years ago mate, Leicester shook the premier league by actually winning it despite spending a fraction of the top teams!

A few key players for that team where identified as bargains due to Walsh's scouting, (Mahrez, Kante).

If you're knew to watching the premier league matey give me a shout and I'll explain more.

Yeah, Walsh never actually scouted the players at Leicester, he sat as head of a transfer team made up of 2 scouts and a data/stats guy who used to report their findings to him and he would sign off on the deals. You could i suppose argue that he was 'head scout' in terms of running the team but it was not him who went out finding the Vardy's, Kante, and Mahrez etc etc.
