He’s not the original one of TEF. He went onto the coyb forum once or twice a few months ago and had a couple of posts, one of them to confirm that someone was using the same username on TEF but it wasn’t him. The original wrd did get a lot of things correct but he hasn’t been on for a while
The original WRD used to just post really good quality info about the club in general, such as when Kenwright was clearly in ill health, stuff you would'nt know unless you where on the inside or knew someone who was, it was'nt all transfer stuff. Then it became obvious that there was also a parody account using the same name but with less quality info. The original WRD seemed to vanish offline a while back i think.

No this is standard procedure mate. No club wlll automatically give permission for talks as by doing that you're effectively waiving your right to compensation.

If he wants to join us he will.

Can he resign? Or with his contract do they have to give permission to talk to him? Really hope he comes then transfers might not take forever! How does everyone think will happen next?

Scenes when he comes in and starts looking at transfer targets than the 1s we were.

I would assume its pretty easy for him to resign his position and join Everton if he wants to. It will purely be about whether he wants to, not what LCFC want.

SSN saying he's keen to speak to us. If he wants to come it'll happen.

I don't think he'll be the director of football.

Absolutely convinced Moshiri knows more about him than anyone of us. If he sees him as the man to fullfill the DOF role for us, who are we to argue? Afterall it's his money!:p

Absolutely brilliant signing. Attracting top players has just become easier. The question now is who won't want to come to Goodison.

Never heard of the man.

Surely the point of a head scout / DoF / whatever is to pluck players from nowhere. It'd hardly be a good use of wages for us to sign someone who comes in and goes "yeah I've heard that pogba kid is quite good let's go for him". I doubt buying proven quality will be affected by this signing, but signing the likes of mahrez et al will always be a good thing

Could someone please copy and paste these in the Marcel Brands thread?

...Walsh must be aware of the approach to Brands. I just wonder if he’s totally involved in discussions and complicit with what is happening or if he is miffed and waiting to be sacked or demoted.

He didn’t notice we didn’t have a left back or a striker, or were the slowest team in history, so i’m not entirely sure he’ll have noticed this one either.

In that much read Guardian piece yesterday it stated quite clearly and convincingly that Brands was here in the summer as DOF.
I remain to be convinced with any of the Dutch connections purely and simply because they are all a busted flush living on the seventies and eighties teams.
