Injury record is dodgy as [Poor language removed], but oh well, he looks a decent player. I wonder how this medical is going...

That's fair enough.....but where should we look at integrity ?

I'd say club 1st, players 2nd.....the club are to blame in my opinion -- not the players.

The fans (as customers) have no real bearing on either in this case....it's really all on the club.

The club (under the old regimes) dont look too good in all of this, to say the least. But to players that all should be by the by. It's as if an Everton player who was promised Everton would sign a few players to push on before signing a new contract and they didn't could just say: "Frig this. I'm ambitious. See you, I'm off elsewhere". The legal sitautions are different to what's happening at Rangers but the principle is constant: the players are there to play until they can see their contract out or are transferred.

I doubt there's anyone who'd look at what these players are doing and doesn't at least think: "they've worked themselves a blinder there". There's no justification for it. None whatsover.

The club betrayed the players, they have no debt of loyalty to them and have done nothing wrong in seeking a move to better their careers rather than wasting away in the second tier of Scottish football. That is what the majority of people will think, as evidenced by this thread.

Mass wage cuts - breach of contract - they could of walked away long before now tbh. Newco dont have a leg to stand on here tbh.

If they had sense they wouldnt be pursuing any of their players, they could be hit with counter legal suits - they know it deep down which is why all Green is doing is posturing - to try and keep some kind of a squad together. I actually hope they pursue the players who have left, taking the eye of the ball in a big way from far important and costly legal battles.

TBF - i think at best you dont have a clear understanding of whats gone/or is going on - Naismith and many others could have walked in Feb - for breach of contract - he didnt - some did - he took a 75% wage cut - to help the club. What loyalty should he have for Green - he is a carpet bagger looking to make a quick spin for a profit on the 5.5mill his consortium put in, he will to you know.

He showed loyalty, but now hes not showing he is not stupid, staying there is a footballing and financial version of moving deck chairs around the titanic.

Told him mate, its the same premise bar of course neither of each was forced into a 75% wage cut.

But you fire away dodging bullets!

Im sorry, but Im fairly up to date with both Pienaar and Artetas career thus far.

Dont recall either of them walking out on a Club for free.

Please, can you enlighten me the thinking behind the claim that its the same.

I await your reply with baited breath.

Not that up to date mate, Pienaar signed for Dortmund on a free. Ran down his Ajax contract. At least we're not Ajax!

So by Davids Rationale hes a "scab"!

Wouldnt go that far myself like.

he wont scupper any deal for pienaar ?? i hope so mate because i cannot stress how important he is for making us look a really good side

Pienaar has been a done deal for months depending on who you ask, especially with all the uncertainty at Spurs and Bale just signing a new bumper contract.

If we do sign Naismith he won't be on megabucks either.

He also ran down his Everton contract.

Forgive me, but im fairly sure Naismith is still under contract?

And you missed out Arteta, when did he do a "Naismith"?

If your gonna spout rubbish, would be super if it had at least a tiny bit of truth in it.

But for the record, I personally dont think hes doing anything wrong, if I was a player I would get as far away from the nuclear explosion that is Rangers ASAP.

I just thought the comparing his actions to Pienaar and Arteta was idiotic.

Hi mate,

first post so be gentle

I am a Rangers fan, with family who support Everton.

Gutted he is leaving

Naismith had no choice, Rangers are going down the pan at this time he had to leave. They might not be playing football next year.
Some Rangers fans forget he donated his signing on fee to Rangers when he joined them.

He is a very good player with a good football brain, football wise he is like Stuart McCall with a touch of Mo Johnston.

He played against Arsenal in a friendly a few years ago and had a 90% pass rate completion in the game. I hear there is six or seven premiership teams in for him and also clubs from Turkey and Holland.

I hope he goes to Everton

Mate i gave up after "Im sorry, but Im fairly up to date with both Pienaar and Artetas career thus far.

Dont recall either of them walking out on a Club for free.". Sorry!

Trust me its a complex legal situation, Newco dont have a leg to stand on, they know it - the rest is all posturing. As above in my post, the lad took a 75% wage cut from Feb to now trying to keep the club from liquidation - it didnt work - i think its a bit unfair besmirching someones character without taking certain fact into consideration, like breach of contract, company law and the fact that the old Rangers are prob one of the most gangster ridden, unethical and corrupt club of a generation.

What it boils down to is they cant afford him anyway, they are just miffed they missed the boat in selling him, ill put it like this the players who have left and the PL clubs taking them on have more money in their petty cash then Newco have in cash flow at the moment - so in terms of legal advice i know who id be putting money on.

Why should Naismith stay at Newco and see Green trouser a few mill of his back, make no mistake about it Green is a carpet bagger - i hope he is to - which is why the fans are up in arms.
