Funny that, anyone would think it's because it's a different company......

Not trying to be funny but it's not the same company which is why the players dont have to foilow the wishes of their previous club and transfer over.

I actually can see where youre coming from but youre talking about 2 totally separate legal entities.

No, it's not the same company, I'm not suggesting it is. Obviously it isn't. But that's about as fruitful as saying that Everton pre-1892 before registering as a ltd co. was not the same Everton as the one that finished the season that year. Two different entities as far as the legalities are concerned, but one actual organisation. Same difference with this newco. I'm not suggesting for a minute that things haven't changed - they have. I'm suggesting that the integrity of what's left behind is substantial enough to be deemed as something that's palpably the original football club.

Rangers and Newco are the same club ffs. Maybe not technically, but they are. They're still gonna play at Ibrox in blue and white and be called Glasgow Rangers and keep the same fans and history, trophies etc.

Just gonna have to start in a lower division. Couple of years and it'll be back to normal with Celtic and Rangers at the top again.

You never know with that though mate, their squad has been totally ruined. It will be interesting to see what happens with the fans next season, as the income from ticket sales and the like could be make or break for them making a swift return. If they don't i could see them being in the mire for a while.

Apparently the SFA are opposing clearance on releasing the renegade Rangers players from their club.

FIFA will have to step in.

Getting very messy.

That's fair enough.....but where should we look at integrity ?

I'd say club 1st, players 2nd.....the club are to blame in my opinion -- not the players.

The fans (as customers) have no real bearing on either in this case....it's really all on the club.

Would be funny if the players sued the SFA (which legally they would be entitled to do).

the only thing that puts me off him is his injury record , would hate for someone like naismith to scupper a deal for pienaar
