He's got a sore knee and he's passed his medical???!!!

I dont think I'll be alone in thinking that's a stupid move to sign a player with two big knee injuries in the past three seasons.

Weir has way too much influence over this for me. But if (as I'd expect) this refusenik has a recurrence of his injuries it'll be Moyes in the frame for throwing good money at this.

He is setting himself up to look very ****ing stupid indeed.

LCAB has said it. I'd take it as read.

My question on the delay: if the other runaways Whittaker and Lafferty etc were mentioned once in connection to a club and then a few hours later were announced that they had tied their deals up, that tells me that groundwork was in place for that to happen. No doubt the same holds for Naismith...so why is his unveiling not happening and it's getting pushed back and back?

I dont doubt that he'll sign eventually because Weir and Moyes sound desperate for some reason for this to happen (I doubt it'd have ggotten to this stage if there was no connection between Naismith-Weir-Moyes). But I strongly suspect there's some serious negotiating here at inserting get out clauses should this player suffer a bad injury again and this is the reason for the delay.

I sorta agree with Davek, we should be aiming higher than a freebie from the SPL but if Jelavic rates him, thats good enough for me.
