We need cover for Lukaku, we've got loads of cover on the wings.

I can't think of a striker who is decent enough that would come in knowing they'd be back up, is my point. Lukaku will start every game when fit, simple. I'd rather us spend money on somebody who is going to improve the first XI - so a left forward/winger (whatever you wan't to call it) to replace Kone, or a goalkeeper.

gone for 8m to norwich. decent business if we replace well. good servant, always tried his best and deserves to be playing week in and week out to be honest, just not at our level.

Sell him asap. We need the money to buy someone better.
understand you sentiment ,but could have been worded better, the guy has been a model pro for us and given us some special moments, I wish him well with his new venture and thank him for trying his best every minute he spent on the pitch for us.

Wut ??? so Martinez's lover boy Kone stays.....FFS Dave

We certainly need cover for Lukaku. If Blue Cheese is right and we cant move in the market it makes no sense letting Naismith go...not from a football perspective.

Hopefully there's an agreement to be reached with all parties to allow cover in.

What, the deals done already? Any links?
sorry i wrote a little hastily, i doubt it's a 'done deal' but the BBC are reporting it

Steven Naismith: Everton forward set to join Norwich City for £8m
Everton forward Steven Naismith is set to join Premier League rivals Norwich in an £8m deal next month.

The 29-year-old Scotland international has started only four league matches this season, but scored a hat-trick after coming on as a substitute against Chelsea in September.

He played 25 minutes as a substitute in the 4-3 defeat by Stoke on Monday.

In August Everton rejected a £7m bid from Norwich for Naismith, who joined the Toffees from Rangers in 2012.

He has made 103 Premier League appearances for Everton, scoring 18 goals.

Newly-promoted Norwich are three points clear of the relegation zone, with Everton six points ahead of the Canaries in 11th.
