Steven Naismith

Am not saying he should be dropped, just saying that we've bought a new attacking player, so let's buck the trend and try our a new go to sub when we hit 60mins

It's horses for courses really, Naismith was the right sub today because he unsettled their defenders. He may not have done it with boss skills and techniques but he done it. He does the ugly stuff really well and it was what was required at the time. Would have liked to have seen more of Del right enough

It's a shame he isn't great as his attitude is spot on.

He was good when he came on today. He really gave us what we needed up front by just causing the defenders hassle.

he ruffled Spurs feathers, got in amongst them .. the shame being is that we'd been bullied most of the game. We need a 'hard man', an 'enforcer'. It was interesting that Dier who possibly knows quite a few of our players well took it upon himself to roam around the park bullying us seemingly confident that no one would kick him back. Pity Nais thinks he's the man for the job .. 'kin embarrassing really.

Over the moon we kept him.
Intelligent runs, finds pockets of space, slots, decent in the air, runs his arse off pressing opponents high if that's the plan.
Please only play through the centre though.

Also shrewd from Bobby if its been Naismith (as suspected) that's keeping an eye on Stones. Been a few times now when its been noted that Steven's the first to notice a player having a tough time and putting his arm around them, talking a bit of sense and geeing them up a bit.

Only would have accepted the bid if we had a number 10 lined up with the money Norwich were offering.

But still happy to have him. Always a decent option off the bench and adds some bite to our game when we need it.

His attitude is great to have when we're up against it and he's a good finisher, but he slows us down far too much in possession and is often a hindrance against the weaker teams.

£8m would have been good money if we had a replacement available in my opinion.
