Works hard and decent slotter but outside the box hes pretty limited player. No more than a sub for us, coming up to the age when value starts to decrease, got to take the money for him when its there.

Been useful for us over the years and did well to regain favour with the fans after that dreadful first year but time to cash in

Never a champs league team challenging player. However a useful premier squad player. Starter for lower table teams. Squad player for a team positioned like us. Not in squad for top 4 team. Like his honesty snidyness and can slot 1 v 1 but limited at top level. Might come useful for fa cup etc. Sell at summer

Has hardly had any game time since that tragic first half showing against United. I think that was the straw that broke the camel's back for Roberto, looks like he's seen the light

He's got a bit of snide about him that we generally don't have a lot of.

Useful sometimes.
Sometimes though. Those times are about once every 15 games or so by the look of it nowadays. We're a lot more technical this season than we were in the last 2, and also rely on our actual strikers and creative midfielders, who are pretty good at providing and scoring goals in general. Every ball he touches - he'll lose it, unless it's a first-time finish.

I like him as a person and he is a snide, but is it really worth it to have one snide in the team so he can do his snide deeds and let the whole team go back a step? No.

Also the comparison to Cahill - Tim had A LOT more to his game other than just snide. He was mostly a snide, yes, but he could actually do this magical thing of controlling the ball, retaining it, passing it, you know, them things... which Naismith just sadly doesn't have.

The thing is whether you rate him or not, he's not playing, same for Mirallas and possibly a few more.

Players want to play, and not sit on the bench.

True but better players than Naismith sit on the bench at other clubs being squad players.

No player should be happy not playing but they should all appreciate its not just about a first 11 now like in the 60's, 70's and 80's. He'll see enough football for us if he sticks round and he'll be playing with better players and competing for honours and European football.

Same goes for Mirallas.

Not so sure myself.

Steven Naismith, the greatest guy in football, dishes out Christmas lunches to homeless people

If Steven Naismith isn’t your favourite footballer, there’s probably something wrong with you – because he is a genuine hero.
Naismith has once again been funding Christmas dinners for homeless people in Glasgow, where he used to play with Rangers, as well as in Liverpool, home of his current club Everton.

Naismith linked up with Glasgow charity Loaves And Fishes, not only sponsoring the meals but also turning up to dish some out.

The Scotland forward told the Big Issue: “I am privileged to have the opportunity to once again support the great work that Denis [Curran, chairmain of Loaves and Fishes] and his team of helpers do for people in need in Glasgow, giving them a hot meal, clothes, food parcels and probably most importantly, a warm welcome from people who care.”
“Denis, his wife Cathy, and their volunteers do so much work to help those in desperate need. It is both humbling and inspiring in equal measure.”

Naismith has supported the charity since he played for Rangers, and has done the same at Liverpool’s Whitechapel Centre since moving to Everton in 2012.
If that’s not enough to convince you of Naismith’s all-round good egg status, he also runs a project to help injured servicemen in Glasgow get back to work, is an ambassador for Dyslexia Scotland and donates match tickets to unemployed people.
If there’s a better human in the world of football, we don’t know who it is.
