If he leaves us I wish him well. Imo he can look back on a good spell with us. Always 100% commitment and scored some very important goals for us. That we can't guarantee him game time anymore says a lot about the way our squad has improved under Martinez. Won't hold that against Naisy, but in all honesty it's probably in his best interest that he moves on. That is if he's not content with a place on the subs bench.

I can just imagine the same posters who are Naismith detractors on here booing when he came on, or posting [Poor language removed] in the match thread against Chelsea.....and I imagine they were completely mortified by his 'perfect' hat-trick.

Everyone's got to be a Messi haven't they.....

No. But you don't have to like all our players either.

Sorry for having an opinion. And sorry that opinion changes sometimes.

Sometimes though. Those times are about once every 15 games or so by the look of it nowadays. We're a lot more technical this season than we were in the last 2, and also rely on our actual strikers and creative midfielders, who are pretty good at providing and scoring goals in general. Every ball he touches - he'll lose it, unless it's a first-time finish.

I like him as a person and he is a snide, but is it really worth it to have one snide in the team so he can do his snide deeds and let the whole team go back a step? No.

Also the comparison to Cahill - Tim had A LOT more to his game other than just snide. He was mostly a snide, yes, but he could actually do this magical thing of controlling the ball, retaining it, passing it, you know, them things... which Naismith just sadly doesn't have.

I hope you didn't suggest that I was comparing him to Cahill.

Probably best not to make sweeping generalisations I find.
