I think the game should evolve.
10 seconds for a throw in, 20 seconds for a corner.
Don't stop the game for subs.
Don't stop the game for injury, unless career/life threatening plus head injury.
Time stops if there is goal, free/goal kick, or sending off.

Would stop a lot of nonsense

….nothing will ever be as horrendous as those 10 extra minutes of injury time at the end of the Bournemouth game. i will never forget that, surely nothing will be as nerve wracking.
Get used to it. This season, we'll have to hang on for about half an hour.

I'm not sure sky/tnt will care too much. They are subscription based services and the ad revenue is still guaranteed, just later. They will extend the coverage to cater for it.

Lets see if the early enthusiasm from the refs continues then.

Newcastle’s first few games will go on until midnight given how much they “run the clock down”…won’t be good for Toon publicans profits waiting for the Geordie hordes to emerge from the Sportwashing Arena.

When/if we have an negative goals/90min avg in mid sept, I'm pretty sure I won't commit seppuku.
