What is it with Everton and strikers?

Are the ones we've signed recently literally all just turbo-gash or do we do something to them?

A curse? Poor training? Fan pressure? I dunno, more often than not they turn sour, like milk.

Lack of confidence I'm sure is part of it at this point.

But also lack of composure and poor technique at times sadly. We don't have many who strike the ball really cleanly on a regular basis.

My guess is because they rarely touch the ball and they're under so much pressure because we have zero attacking ideas beyond lumping it up to them.

That and they're also crap.

We are often guilty of signing players who are hyped to be more than they are , then fans argue with each other because they don’t want to admit they are wrong when in reality no one gives a toss

We haven't recruited properly in attack either for many years. We bizarrely haven't prioritised goalscorers at any point since selling Lukaku.

Two summers ago really really annoyed me. All these midfielders and defenders brought in when we had zero goals in the squad. And unsurprisingly we were in a relegation battle until the last second of the season.

I think there has been huge pressure on the team of late. Everyone is feeling it. Danjuma missed a great chance as did Harrison. I’m not enjoying it at all at the moment. As a fan it’s stressful and it must be for the players too. They are fighting I get that but we know there is better quality on the pitch than is currently delivering. We were desperately short in midfield but we picked up a point which I wasn’t expecting before the game.

We've been fighting relegation for 3 seasons. Unfortunately the next Gerd Muller would probably prefer to sit on Spurs' bench than feed off scraps.

Wingers who can't cross.

Midfielders who can't pass forward.

Zero creativity.

We also sign duds, but even your Rondon/Maupay/King types scored for other clubs but just flop here. There's a reason for that

lack of service , the striker not having a chant for him , takes a few months to get fit , not playing to their strengths the excuses are endless
