I agree Suits, but hes a fantastic manager who will command the respect of the players and their ego.

I dont believe that pal, when you're dealing with strong personalities its definately commanded.
I have at no stage said that Capello is a bad manager, what I do say is that the FA have allowed the game to get into this wank state. Back in the late 70's every football supporter in the land wanted Cloughie as manager, they gave him two fingers because the first thing he'd have done was to change the structure, brought more ex players into the FA instead of tuppence halfpenny bureaucrats we have now. The money they have thrown at it yet again is likely to be wasted. The one big advantage Capello has is that the press will be driven crazy as he can't speak English, he tried once and found it too difficult some one has said, not bad for a man on his money
Mate, if you can sit there and say money in football as a whole is not being wasted then you need to think again. Its just the way it is, and if my kid gets the opportunity to earn 100k a week I would be delighted, I don't care. Money helps and it can give you a better life.
Maybe shallow, but I want to be rich, and if I can bring a kid into the world to be a top footballer, than I would happily take the usual side effects it can bring.
Need a kid first though.
Not sure though, but what's the situation with American sports, how much are we talking about there for top coach's?
I have not said that, in fact I think the exact opposite. In this case the money waste is exemplified
Apart from Sir Alf Ramsay the most successful English coach was Joe Mercer.
Thank you Monty, of course there will be very few forum members who ever heard of Joe Mercer.
