Too many people are satisfied with this. I'd prefer someone more akin to our boot it long system but beggars can't be choosers.

I'd give him time though, as he could really grow to impress. The problem is that the football we play isolates that CF so much, that anyone we put in there will struggle if they're not used to being the lone option.

No long ball needed in a 433 when he's flanked by wingers up top to give him service into the penalty area

Butt was no more than Keanes replacement when he got injured suspended , never a regular
Pip was his brothers replacement / rotation at FB
G Neville didn’t play at CB. for a few seasons even though that was his preferred position
All the other youngsters were bit part players that were eventually sold

Spot on...still were involved in plenty of games i suspect for a top side...while were nowhere close to that level...

Marcel has to shift around 10 more players before mosh gives him the cheque book. Until that time, NO SIGNINGS.

This team with a proper manager would still be favourites to finish 7th.

Pickford

Coleman Holgate Keane Baines

Gueye Davies Siggurdson

Walcott Tosun Lookman

So just stop wetting your pants and leave it to Brands. I’m glad we’re not chucking money round again, we didn’t need to, we probably need only 3 positions at a push and if Silva and Brands think we have the solutions in the squad already then I’d be ok going with that. We barely saw any of Vlasic Lookman last season, Tosun and Walcott have only had a few months. Coleman was back from injury. There’s a lot of potential in the squad to be maximised first before we need to worry about Brands notmplying fantasy football.

There’s always one club every summer that whip up some fans on here into a panic, I still remember the warnings that Stoke and Swansea were going to move ahead of us after 14/15. It never comes to pass, we’ll probably finish above West Ham again and we’ll be glad we didn’t panic bid for Wilshere or Yarmolenko.

YES ALL OF THIS

I dont think you get my point to be honest mate. Its alot of presure to put on 2 lads who are 21 and 23 with barely a years experience in european football.
1 id agree with along side someone 25-28.
Comparing that to Varane & Umititi who are 24 & 25 and in Varane's case probably in the top 5 centre halfs in the world.
Another thing, Varane has pretty much 8 years of first team football under his belt but never played over 27 games in a season. Its not like he is the senior defender at his club side you absolute tool!
No, not at his club, just for the world cup finalists.

Any transfer insights, you were great at those last summer?

But it’s a completely different system now than it was then, with the back 3. A big help for that is not having to shoehorn Sigurdsson in.

They have only really started playing a back three in the past year though...

It's got nothing to do with Sigurdsson. As you said, he left in 2014, and in 2014-2017 Poch primarily used a 4-2-3-1.

Er, you do know we've changed managers, yeh?

I like Davies, but if he’s in our first 11 next season then we’ve had a terrible transfer window.
