I think he may mean the sweeper/keeper type of stuff that's popular now, though I haven't seen anything to suggest he couldn't do more of this anyway, his distribution is OK now and should get better. All keepers fancy themselves to be a footy player, they cant and that's why they are goalies.

He is the definition of whatever 'modern keeper' is. He's agile, distributes it well and moody.

His footwork is better than most of our outfield players ffs.
He could easily be a competent sweeper keeper if that’s what the other poster is talking about.
