Jesus fifty million for a Watford player who was rubbish for half a season. Well in Brands. Sounds easy this DOF lark. Just pay massively over the odds for players that may or may not be any good.

Yannick Bolasie is attracting interest from a host of clubs as his Everton future continues to look uncertain.

Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Fenerbahce want to sign the 29-year-old winger with Fulham also lodging their interest.

Bolasie has not travelled with the Everton squad to Portugal today but has instead remained at Finch Farm as he recovers from a stomach bug.

The same illness has struck Cuco Martina who has not travelled either.

Ademola Lookman has remained on Merseyside as he nurses a minor thigh injury while Theo Walcott’s ankle problem has not healed sufficiently for Marco Silva to include him in the travelling party.

Bolasie, along with Walcott, has yet to feature in pre-season so far and though Everton are not actively looking to offload the £25m signing they are willing to listen to offers.

And Bolasie is not short of offers from the Premier League or abroad.

The expected arrival of Richarlison could also reduce Bolasie’s changes of regular first team football this season.
 
I think what people forget is last season Richarlison played a full season of Brazilian football and then came straight to Watford with no break in between. It was only a matter of time before he tired last season. Will see what he can do this season with a full break, plus Silva clearly wants him and he wants to play for Silva. Good enough for me. Plus it means Bolasie and Mirallas get farther and farther away from first team minutes.

You've literally not even given Tosun 6 months of football...

This stat is flying around that he didn’t get a goal or assist in his last 23 games.

The stat is correct and is of course far from impressive. However, some straws to clutch:


1. In 6 of those games he was on the bench and played only between 5 and 35 mins max
2. In a further 6 games he was substituted, sometimes as early as 54 minutes
3. In 11 of those matches - virtually half of them - Watford didn’t score at all, suggesting the problem went somewhat deeper than the performance of one player.
4. Of the 23 games, only 7 of which were under Marco Silva, and those were during the spell where he’d had his head turned by Everton and seemingly jibbed Watford off in his head.

Was this kid from the story he wanted to follow Silva to us before it all got messy ?
Not sure if its him or maybe Doucoure , but defo reported in the press.
Watford seemed to nose dive just after.
