I personally think Cech is completely finished. I can't fathom why you would want to sell a player and replace them with a far far worse one who is close to retirement. It's madness like this that got Walsh the sack.

I'm not sure it was that madness at all that got Walsh the sack. My view is that Cech still has something to offer and is not finished, but has struggled at Arsenal. I believe Pickford's value is at a high point currently and his performances for England were far more consistent than his performances for us. That may change this season (which I hope and believe if he stays there is a fair chance they will). I also believe the club needs to sell players to have funds to buy more in.

I wouldn't get hung up on Cech, there are lots of goalkeepers out there I'd take.

I understand there are a lot of ifs and buts in there and it won't be popular. I'd have no problem with us moving Pickford on for the right fee. I'm not uncritical of the club but I wouldn't criticise too heavily for that. I appreciate you disagree with some of my logic though!

Ideally, we sell the deadwood and those who don’t want to be at the club. Say if Lookman wants to leave he will be sold to raise fund.

We are struggling and will struggle to get significant fees for the deadwood though.

I honestly wouldn't attack the club if they sold Pickford. IMO he's solid and no more than that. His close quarter reactions are poor and I think we can cash in and get just as good for cheaper.

Praised by all during the World Cup for his reactions. To make up for his apparent lack of height. Remember you said you would have preferred if we went for Begovic. Lol.

Really hope we go for a centre mid.

Yeah we do need a dominant powerful force there otherwise we'll continue to get overrun, we're still a bit small that's the main reason i really want mina in. But i think buying a centre mid now hinges on if we can sell anyone, i like klaassen, but he probably needs to be sold, he just needs something different for his career i think. Getting a good fee and his wages wouldn't be enough though, i think we'd still have to offload besic and maybe schneiderlin too, but i don't think silva will be pushing to sell either. The big one to get rid of would be mccarthy though, because of his injuries he offers nothing. Selling him, besic and klaassen would give us enough to buy another centre mid, but i don't think we will unless we sell two of our current options.
