....it’s 25th July and we’ve finally acquired our first player of this summers transfer window. Here’s the Toffee transfer rumours for this Wednesday morning;

- According to The Daily Mirror, Everton are keen on Borussia Monchengladbach’s defensive midfielder, Denis Zakaria The 21 year old Swiss international joined the German outfit for £8m last summer from Young Boys and has been likened to Patrick Vieira and Paul Pogba.

- The Mirror also claim Everton interest in Caen midfielder, Yann Karamoh. The 20 year old Frenchman joined Inter Milan in August 2017 on a 2 year loan with an obligation to purchase. Karamoh has played 16 games for Inter.

- Tuttojuve report Everton are monitoring the situation of Juventus’ 23 year old Croatian winger, Marko Pjaca.

- The Express suggest that after purchasing Richarlison, Everton will now turn their attention to Barcelona Left Back, Lucas Digne. The Star report the 25 year old French International is now Everton’s priority target.

- Sky Sports continue to link Everton midfielder, Davy Klaassen with a move to German side Werder Bremen.

- 4th Official pick up on reported Everton interest in Lille’s 26 year old Brazilian midfielder, Thiago Mendes.

- BBC say Everton and West Ham are monitoring Augsburg’s 25 year old Austrian international defender, Martin Hinteregger.

...Martin Hinteregger is the interesting link for me. Left footed CB, not a colossus but @Borussin says he’s very mobile and has created a very good impression in Germany. A few reports now saying we are leading West Ham for his signature.

Probably nothing in it, but still interesting.

Given brands track record, and Silva's as well, I wouldn't rule out a couple of incomings being loans

If we got a £25m offer for lookman, i myself would be considering it. I like the kid and it would be bad to let him go, but £25m for a backup winger who let's be honest hasn't done anything for us and might not even want to be here?

We have much more pressing needs regarding players to lose, but that wouldn't be too crap of a deal.

Speaking to the German Goal Network guys this morning.

They have reporters who cover the major teams and then they have like three that spread across the rest of the league.

One of these guys is pretty well connected with Leipzig and they're convinced they can get him. Everton aren't budging - Silva likes him - but there's clearly something coming from Lookman's camp (his agent is the same as Jadon Sancho's and Reece Oxford's I think, and is in with a lot of Bundesliga clubs) that says if the right offer comes in Lookman will push for the move.
