There is no need to panic, yet.

We were crap tonight. The main thing I want to see is that Silva has now made up his mind on the squad. He's had the time now. There's no need to be playing Williams or Pennington or tosh like that.

EA is going to sell so many copies of FIFA 19 in Liverpool just from Evertonians who want to get into career mode and lash two-thirds of the squad on the transfer list on the first day.

Maybe it's overdramatic but really not sure new signings are going to compensate for the toxic atmosphere and mercenary culture within the club. Williams, Mirallas, Schneiderlin, Bolassie are all bad eggs. The worst group of senior pros in PL on wages no one else would even consider and with zero motivation to anything apart from sit on their arse and go through the motions.

Jags and Baines are church mice, great servants but leaders? Never in a million years. This group is having a poisonous effect and will continue to do so until we find a way of getting rid.

Clearly there's other players who aren't good enough (Basic, Niasse, Martina) but the real problem is those four IMO.

This is rebuild season, not a challenge for 6th place. Have patience, The squad is full of rubbish players and he needs time to turn it around.

In fairness, of all the things you can slate him for, saying he's 'toxic' isn't one of them.

The lad is genuinely a really humble guy. Wants to get his head down and work hard. His application isn't good enough - especially after the injury. But he's nowhere close to the other three you name.

Silva and Brands made a big mistake not getting rid of Williams, Mirallas and Morgan - all 3 are poison who will sour the dressing room this season.

You then have over the hill players Baines and Jags

Garbage players like Bolasie, Sandro, Besic and Calvert Lewin in and around the squad.

Big changes are needed.
