I think he did stand out for Stoke, their fans are very complimentary. He seems a very similar player to Gana. Maybe Silva will play them together?

There's probably a bit in it saying we'd be purring if he came from abroad, but there is an issue again with his age for me. I know I probably come across a bit obsessed, but there's only so much more improving he will do at that age and I'm not sure he would be qualitatively better than what we have. Maybe thats unrealistic for this window? Maybe thats unrealistic full stop? However I don't think we solve our midfield area by buying more players at a similar level.

In truth I'm not sure Gana/Schneiderlin have been a massive improvement on Barry, McCarthy and Besic. It's kind of a case in point really.

From the little I've seen he doesn't look similar to Gana at all mate. In fact, I don't think he's like anybody we have at the moment, which is why I think he may improve the team. Most of our midfielders are too similar.

Normally I would agree age is an issue, but if he's coming in for a low fee and manageable wages, I don't see that as an problem in this instance. He is only 27 so if he does a turn for a year or two until we get an upgrade we still should be able to get some return on him.

I can’t remember if it was a friendly or not but yeah, he missed a pen, and that was enough for Jose. History repeats itself.
It was also interesting that RLC was the last mid off the bench for them tonight. Behind Fabregas, Barkley, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Jorginho, and Kante didn’t dress. Guessing he will be moving.

You’d imagine Sarri is weighing up his squad as much as Silva is.

Would love to see us land Loftus-Cheek, even on loan. He’s so quick-footed for someone so big. I think he’s going to grow into a top player in the league.

I'd take him although he played on the wing a lot last year so I don't know if he is actually a center mid or what.
Chelsea players will be aware of who has a future more so after Sunday since the Shield is at least semi competitive
