Seems that Gary Cahill is surplus to requirements at Chelsea and doesn't have long left on his contract, anyone think a cheeky bid could help us out? We could offer him guaranteed first team football and the captaincy.
Obviously when Usmanov comes in he will be in the bracket below what we will be looking at, but for now at least, he would be good for us.

Nope. Walsh signings were obvious: Gueye, Lookman, Ramirez. Koeman signed the expensive flops. Walsh was over-ruled by Moshiri indulging his "superstar manager".

Dowell needs to be on the bench and deputising at every opportunity for Sigurdsson. That should have been the move this season. Bernard is not crucial. We could well do without him for our purposes this season.

Dowell won't cut it at everton. Bernard will change games for us, change the way the opposition set up against us. Dowell doesn't have the work ethic for us right now. You Cantu put all your hopes on the fact he has a cracking left foot and the fact he may be involved in a match on more then three occasions in 90 minutes.

Its not that I don't like him as such if he signs I hope he's great and I'll get behind him. But he is unproven in this league a better strategy would have been to add another PL experienced defender and go after Mina. Currently we have two CBs who aren't up to standard one injured and a very ponderous DM. Even if Mina signs tomorrow does he start Saturday how long does it take him to adapt? 30million should be buying you a player of quality he feels like a punt could go either way.

My point is if you do get say Lascelles then you can still go poke holes in it. Is he going to be able to adapt to the new system or will he do a Keane? Did we overpay? Etc. Mina in my mind is about as good as we can do

But he won't be getting any game time as Sarri seems to like Barkley a lot.
