Why do most people want rid of Besic ? I know I say this every season but he's gonna come good . He's managed to stay injury free since Boro and he's a nasty little sod when it's called for . He's certainly more mobile than most of our midfield .
He gives it away in dangerous areas way too much for me and the nastiness goes overboard at times. At his best like City in that semi final he is really very good but he often falls short

So he gets a free ride for another year? I just don't get the Besic love in

I didnt write that he will stay I just wrote a bit about the tricky situation he is in. To be honest I want him to leave. Since he will waste another year in Everton. There is no stability here and I want him to do good. But sadly I cant see him do it for Everton and I hope to not see him in the UK at all. I would be devastated if I saw him do good for a different team in the premier league.

Linked with Kovacic and Fekir (and err Bernard). Don't know where that leaves Barkley/RLC.

Don't think they'll sign anyone but a keeper. They also need a better striker IMO.

Barkley's had a good preseason and the manager fancies him from what I've read. But RLC will be looking at another loan

Yup. Decision making is something that IMO is hard to fix, although it truly may be down to repetitions at the highest level, which he’s not likely to get here.

The issue with Besic is that he has not been able to get the desired time to finely tune his game. His development has both been hindered by long term injuries and management changes.

If there is no real stability in the management then you cant expect him to improve since he needs a bit time with the coaches to identify his approach to get rid of some of the bad habits he has. If Silva has a great start and stays and Besic does not get sold, then I will not expect Besic to see any big improvements to his game until end of this season.

The reasoning for this is simple. Silva does not have the time to focus on individual players and finetuning their game. He first needs to adress the team as a whole and try to make them play his system. If you look at City then that is exactly what Pep did. His first year was to ease the players in to his way of playing and the second year you saw big improvements on the players since he was now more focused on finetuning the individual players.

Damnit , I see your cold hard logic and of course you're right . Never thought of it like that .
Shame , he could of been a good player if he wasn't made of glass when he thought he was made of recycled Panzers .
Thank you though.

@Eggs you really need to get your legal team onto him and then steal the pic at the top lol

Bernard, Mina, Zouma and a midfielder (N'Zonzi would be just the ticket) and I'd call this a spectacularly good window.
I know N’Zonzi is a really good player, but not sure another defensive mid is what we need. Maybe he could transition into more of a ball carrier type, but I doubt it. Really think we need more of a box to box player. Not suggesting N’Diaye is the right player, but stylistically he makes sense. We need our Doucoure so we can let Gana be Gana.
