Better than Schneiderlin though. Won’t bw getting a look in at Chelsea with Jorginho Kante and Kovacic. Could be a smart loan deal. If our creativity is going to be all up top perhaps Silva sees Bakayoko and Gueye just sweeping up everything.
I mean I know Morgan is awful but was Bakayoko much better last season. Honestly don’t think he was. Every time I watched him he looked way out of his depth.

He’s not great but at least he’s athletic. If all him and Gueye have to do is press and cover the defence that might be ok. Then just leave it to the full backs and the front four to get on with attacking. Schneiderlin plays at walking pace.

Current manager: Silva
Previous Managers: Allardyce, Koeman, Martinez, Moyes, Smith*

*If you count Unsworth's interim terms as "manager," well, that's silly, especially since he authored no transfers, but you can swap Rhino for Smith if you want

So Martinez took the Moyes squad, made a few additions, and reached 72 points. Martinez also made some poor additions, but given that he reached 72 points with (largely) the same squad Koeman inheirited, I'm giving him a pass.

So then it's Koeman, and if you're more pedantic than me, Allardyce. So it's actually not the previous 5 managers who left the squad in shambles, is it? It's actually Koeman and Walsh? Or am I missing something?

Agreed, maybe 5 was ott a little bit, counting Allerdyce, (he did have a half decent window in fairness), and Unsworth ( as you say) unfairly.

But some of the blame goes to Martinez, for not maintaining the first season promise.
