i read that we pulled out of any deal after after a change in sporting direction.... what ever that meansHave we agreed a deal to sign that Fabra left back from a while ago?
I don’t understand though. You don’t want us to sign players who will improve us, because they’d see us as a stepping stone?
The best striker we’ve had in my lifetime seen us as a stepping stone.
We had a chance to achieve something with players of his calibre, it’s not his fault half the squad were crap.
..the Echo is again linking us with Sheffield Wednesday starlet, George Hirst. The 19 year old is the son of former striker, David Hirst and is certainly talented.
Justin Kluivert.
George Hirst.
Anyone else with a famous arl fella? By the way David Hirst was class. As good as Shearer. Career curtailed by injury. If his lad is a chip off the block then he'll be a half decent signing.
I want players who want to stay and come good with us, not the likes of Lukaku who basically said that's your lot I am off. I want the club to move forward as do we all but to achieve that players need to stay not give us a couple of seasons.
Quite right about the squad mate, some too old and some just plain u/s.

Tyrese Campbell?
Be all over that. Good player better than the £40 mil being quoted for Mawson.

I don't think he would. People forget how crap he's been for last few years.
We've been linked with him for a couple of years now.
..we have, Matey. If I recall rightly, Sheffield Wednesday totally refused our enquiry a few seasons ago. David Hirst was miffed and apparently the lads contract has now run down, so he’s a free agent. He’ll demand a large signing fee and I dare say Sheffield Wednesday will be owed compensation. My main doubt is that I don’t think he’s had many games for their first team.
They didn't want to give him games because he wouldn't sign...
