I know it's all about opinions but I just don't understand some of the shouts on here.
The last thing we need is to just throw more money at decent individual players. We need to identify the weaknesses in our team and bring in players who both solve our problems and fit with a certain style. Someone like Mawson doesn't solve any of our defensive problems at all, he's just another clone of Keane, who is in turn a clone of Jagielka and Williams. One of the major problems we've had defensively is that none of our centre back pairings complement eachother, they all offer the same skill set and want to do the same things. We need a pacier, 'classier' centre half to go with the dogged defenders we already have.
We need a naturally left footed wide player to offer the possibility of balance as we're overloaded with right footers, and yet we've got loads of people advocating Zaha who just offers more of the same. We need creativity in the middle of the pitch and a genuine quality striker and we've got people talking about Dendoncker and Vydra. I despair.
I've said before, not all of our squad is hopeless and with the right signings in the right areas I reckon a number of them will start to look much better. The squad is horribly unbalanced and sorting that out needs to be our main priority.

I'd be quite happy with the not play Cuco at left back part...but nothing else!

Just read that myself. They changed the dates didn’t they. I get it but a bit daft to start it on a World Cup year. Not giving us very long to sort out transfers at all.
