Obviously we have no idea if any of these new players will pan out, as nothing is guaranteed in football. Time will tell. But I like the fact that there seemed to be a plan to address the areas of need, and the players that were signed all seem to make a lot of sense. So that's quite refreshing.

Also nice is that we're finally going to have some solid options coming off the bench offensively if we're chasing a game. When you look at the mix of Richarlison, Bernard, Walcott, Lookman, Gylfi (depending on where Silva ends up playing him), Tosun and Niasse, there's a decent mix there in terms of qualities/abilities and being able to switch up the attack.

That total of 34 is too big especially with Zouma probably joining tomorrow.

We need to offload:
Martina
Bolasie
Besic
Browning
Galloway

And loan out for the future/increasing value:
Vlasic
Dowell
Baningime
Pennington
Sandro OR DCL - they won’t both get enough game time

I’d hope that Brands can get a couple of them out on loan to some decent sides across Europe.

That brings us down to a squad of 25.

There’s a number of players that we should be looking at offloading in January including:
  • Jags - he’s been great for us but at his age it’s best to move him on if the other CBs kick on.
  • McCarthy - if we can keep him fit for more than 5 matches, that’s a £20m asset to sell in January.
  • Morgan - there’s a chance that this revamped side could bring him back to form but if not we should try to shift him while he has any value. He’s probably worth £25m in today’s market despite his poor form.
Agree with much of this, although 25 is really low. I'd hang on to Beni and Dowell.

Can still see Pennington, Vlasic, Besic, Martina, Dowell, Beni loaned out, not sure what will happen with Galloway and Browning at this point, maybe loans, maybe moved on, maybe stay with the U23s, Sandro POSSIBLY, but that would leave us VERY short up top, not that he would be a great option up there either.

And of course Bolasie, cant see anybody else other than that myself.

Big pat on the back for brands and Silva , but also mosh, he sacked bobby, got a manager that he wanted , who at the time had a good reputation, backed him, saw that wasn’t working sacked him, tried for Silvia couldn’t get him, got sam to keep us up, sacked him , got his man and a decent DOF and has backed them. Really only Walsh and Ron were his mistakes. At least he takes action and with his money he is actually able to take action, under bill we couldn’t have afforded to sack bobby, get koeman, sack koeman , hire and compensate sam and then sign the dof and manager we have now, that’s without even going into signings.

Massively agree. I think it this point it's safe to say Moshiri has tried to do what's best for Everton. He's made some missteps but I like where we're heading.

At the end of last summer I was feeling positive but everytime I tried to put our best 11 together in my head, someone was always playing out of position or we had a player starting who I would rather have on the bench. Today I can think of multiple lineups in multiple formations that all look great, at least on paper, while still having exciting options off the bench.

..it didn’t seem like we had to sell to buy.
Is Moshiri really this rich?(ok by me if he really is and is willing to hit the markets and go ahead with stadium stuff by himself, wow) I just cant shake the feeling that the funding is coming from somewhere else (whoever it might be like;))

We snatched highly rated players from under the noses of several big clubs....whats the X-factor there? Again....maybe players have been told Something that isnt in puplic domain yet.

..I think if players had been told something it would be in the public domain.
