"Manchester United have completed the signing of England starlet Wayne Rooney in a deal worth just short of £30 million.
The Red Devils have been brokering the move with Everton for the past few days, but they have finally concluded the biggest English deal of the summer."
We're not going to get a £50M striker. They wont want to come here. We'll have to unearth another good one in the same we did with Lukaku and Liverpool did with Salah and Sturridge: take a chance on spending out on a player the elite clubs aren't sure about, or hope we can come up with a European player in the same way that Liverpool did with Suarez - presumably Brands knows what he's doing in that respect.I think the Tosun thing is a case of we were not prepared or even allowed to "give up" on another big money signing!
Personally i felt he wasent good enough after a few games, ive always felt he is a type of signing crystal palace or huddersfield or southampton would make!
SAy we sold lookman for 22m, saved 4m on Gomes and made minimal on Vlasic/Mirallas (12m), that leaves you with 38m, who would you of got in for that cash that would improve the side in theory
I think if we are going to replace the likes of Tosun/DCL we cant mess around with 30m strikers, we need to look in the higher bracket, someone that people would go "Jeez everton have done well to get him" for someone like that we could need 50-60m, and on top of what we spent,i just couldnt picture us doing that
(As a sidenote, and a head start i noticed Andre Silva went on loan to sevilla this season and has sarted really well, that would of been an option, but also still a gamble)
Why did roma sell him?

Monchi sells everyoneWhy did roma sell him?
He's looking more like the Mitrovic at Anderlecht nowadays. He will cause us problems on Saturday that's for sure. There are a couple of good young strikers about from clubs below us (in stature) who will go on to bigger careers, one that springs to mind is Mitrovic, who is turning into an absolute beast at Fulham.

it was no where near 30m. it was 22-23m after all of the addons that were acheived, some wernt acheived
I advanced Mitrovic's name earlier this summer = Laughed at by the clever people. There are a couple of good young strikers about from clubs below us (in stature) who will go on to bigger careers, one that springs to mind is Mitrovic, who is turning into an absolute beast at Fulham.
