Summer 2018 Transfer Window

I like what I'm reading there.

We'll have money of course. Enough anyway.

But for every player coming in, at least 2 must go. It's not rocket science. Our squad is massive and full of tripe. Let's see some epic sell to buy please Marcel.

Yeah, this is it.

It's not a case of sell to buy like under Kenwright but more we need to cull the squad after disastrous moves under Walsh. We can bring players in, nothing much stopping us but getting rid should be the first port of call before worrying about expanding on a bloated squad.

No way, Brands & Silva come here with no money, basically they will be hanging them selves

Aye. I'm sure they'll have been well briefed in advance that they one, have free reign to cull the squad and two, it needs to be a top priority.

There will be cash there but it's less - we're eighteen, we've just got our birthday dough, gone into a strippers and wasted three tonne in two hours - yet more, being shrewd with our finances, both in and out.

Its a bit disappointing, but we spent loads last year and were awful. I would of preferred if we signed players and then sold players but that's not good business. Hopefully a few players will be happy to go?

Let's not forget that a big chunk of last summer's spree was being offset by the sale of Lukaku and (or so they thought at the time) Barkley. There's noone left that sought after to offload and raise that amount again this year.

Not sure sell to buy ever left us. Mind you I've never felt happier about that prospect than this summer, the big ole gang of charlatans!

Oh....

So we funded last season with Lukaku and now we have no prized assets left so we have to sell circa 12.

Sensible but not that fairytale Moshiris and Bill men in the media portrayed.

Think we can bin the idea of top signings then.

Yet again we’ve been painted a false picture.

pretty much every club sells to buy though.

Liverpool have only bought Fabinho and VVD because of the Coutinho sale.

You can be sure that when/if they buy Fekir, for example, another player will leave to offset it slightly.

It's the right approach. The money pumped into the club from Moshiri can go on other areas - mainly a stadium, but also wages.

We have a big clear out to do so it's no surprise that Brands has come out to dampen any expectations of loads of incomings.

Tbh, I can see us not signing anyone until the end of the month - purely because we've got so many to ship off.

Glad that Hunter's article also names Schneiderlin directly. He'll be off if we can find a buyer. Klaassen - I'd love him to stay and prove he can cut it - but looks like we're ready to cut our losses. I'd rather keep him than spend another £20m on another risky import that may or may not work out though. See if he can cut it in a different system.

If we bin Rooney, Schneiderlein, Klassen, Williams and Sandro (to name only a few) we have the guts of £500k freed up per week.

X52

=£26m

Plus transfer fees.

SELL TO BUY

It all helps, but ultimately we will be left on the hook for losses in value, transfer fees are generally paid annually there aren’t many players we can sell for a profit and those we could we wouldn’t want to. We also have to pay anyone new a decent wage it won’t automatclly turn to transfer funds.

The only thing we can rely on for a decent funded window is another loan by Mosh and a rights issue, this doesn’t sound like the case based on above.

Everything else is subjective and unrealiable, we can’t bank on selling anyone and when is also a variable and unreliable.

We have no real asset to sell to fund significant spend.

Borrowing is out of the question with stadium credit on the horizon. Essentially there is not much money in the buisness at the moment.

Essentially it’s a Mosh investment or a sell to buy window, with a little bit of cash flow to help.
