Well we need to bring in at least 4 new faces who need to be starters, 2 of which need to be pacey left sided defenders. There is no value buying from the premier so I don't see what option we have but to look abroad.

Provided we target players with a particular skill set that we've identified we need for Marco's preferred system, I don't see there being a repeat of last years nightmare. The problem then was that we had no plan and just bought a group of players. With the exception of Pickford, the players we got from the premier haven't done that much better than the others in fairness.

I do think we will bring in four starters for the first team. I think we may spend up to 100m on these but the net spend may be quite low after we move out anything up to a dozen players and there should be substantial savings in wages as well.

The football hipsters (not just in this forum) banging on about Wolves are doing my head in. Go and support them if you are so excited by their ‘project’. Couldn’t care less about them, they’ll be back in the Championship within 3 years.

I’ll be honest, I initially several weeks ago thought that they’d do well. Seem to have a clear plan in place and have attracted decent players.

However as time has passed, these players aren’t used to the Prem, it’s extremely difficult to build momentum. They may have some quality, but looking at their squad - there is plenty of dirge that make up the numbers. The fans energy will be demanding on the team and we’ve seen how that ends first hand.

I think they’ll be lucky to finish top 10, would love for them to get relegated again. So much.

The fact they could finish in the top half says more about the teams below us than the fact they will make a big impression, IMO.
