Ross is totally shot physically and mentally. He needs to be able to rebuild his career by changing his game to become a deep lying playmaker and he needs to do that somewhere with less pressure and scrutiny than he would have here.

RLC is more an Nzonzi box-box type than a Ross 8/10. He would offer more than Gana in attack who does not offer enough in the final third to convince in that role butGana is better defensively. The two of them would give us depth and versatility but Brozovic is better than both combined (we can dream).

I suspect Gylfi (pushed by Dowell & Vlasic) will be the attacking, creative 8 in Silva’s midfield 3 rather than wide in the front 3. I think we need to see what we have in that trio.

Upgrading Schneiderlin as the play-making 4 is probably the biggest gap and need but only Carvalho linked in that role and he lacks the mobility.

Davies is currently a ‘6’ but needs to develop his all round game and could eventually emerge as an 8 if he can improve his passing (he sees the pass, he just cannot consistently make it).

...as far as I know we’re not linked with Ross Barkley. Regardless, it would be folly for any team to sign him on a lengthy, £100k per week contract when he will carry dodgy hamstrings through his career. It’s the same with McCarthy, once his hamstrings started to pop I thought it odd not to try and move him on.

Wilshire is another with a history of long-term injury and I think he carries a very high risk of spending a lot of time on the treatment table. I’ve not seen a lot of Loftus-Cheek, i’m very much sitting on the fence as far as he’s concerned.

Have you read this forum recently, isn't that what a rumour forum is?
Its a forum that gently encourages the chatting of bubbles, it's not two self-aggrandizing blokes bragging about viewer numbers and basically being our own embarrassing version of der redmen teevee, with ped and his desperate teenager haircuts being king beaut of the lot in the take myself too seriously stakes

Agree on Mccarthy, sadly I think he's always injured during transfer windows so that makes other teams not look at him imo.

If 4&6 are both midfielders, what numbers our other cantre back?

Why? Hate to go on about a player who is no longer with us but his last 2 seasons with us saw him score 18 goals with 16 assists. Those are pretty elite figure for an attacking midfielder in a not-great side.

I'd have him back in an instant.

Anyway the player I really want from Chelsea is Calum Hudson-Odoi. Brilliant young attacker. I'm hoping we become a beacon club for young players wanting to get first team football.

Rather than what we have been under the last 2 managers: a bacon club where players can get a fry-up.

The clubs going to have to offer him a new contract this season as he only has 2 seasons left on his current one.

If he doesn't sign your looking at selling him next season with 1 year left.

Mate, I read everything I can as we are far removed here in Australia, and I dont choose to believe anything or chose to disbelieve anything either, I take people as they come, and I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but because everyone has an opinion doesnt make their opinion correct.

And I am sure you are a very decent fellow, but I would ask why is there negativity towards Toffee TV, personally I think Baz is pretty well informed and a good blue?

They’re fine mate, not for me but fine, but I don’t believe have any insight into things that happen in Everton.

They like everyone else at the time (even me) took the £17m from the first place that quoted a figure. A website called Sporx. We all should have known better. It’s called Sporx ffs!

The one concern I have signing these potentially great individual players (admittedly haven’t seen his team work) is that they need to work in a team and with that, I would focus on what he’d bring to others we have and are targeting. The blend needs to be right. Everything I have seen of him (very little) is individual so far. These kinds of players get noticed whilst their weaknesses are never scrutinised. Like Barkley before him, when the team isn’t doing well they add very little.

I’m not saying he’s not good enough for us, he looks brilliant. I just want the right signing who contributes more to the team.

A very fair summary of him I’d say mate.

In traditional 3-man European midfields the number 4 is deep lying midfielder, 8 is attacking/creative and 6 versatile, box-box and the defenders typically are 2,3,5 (if back 3) and 7 or 11 (if back 4). It is just a different way of labelling. In practice the big impact for us of Silva wanting to play 4-3-3 is that there is not a true #10 playmaker/second striker in the front 3. One of the biggest Q we have is how Silva uses Gylfi. The options are the ‘8’ or as a wide attacker, but those wide attacker roles are usually more Lookman/Walcott/Lozano speedsters.

Bitterness as far as I can see tbh. That some lads are doing something they think they can do and making a few quid (which if you take out overheads and actual man hours put into it theyll be on less then minimum wage per hour) in doing it but would never in a million years get off their arses to do.

Blissfully unawear of how hard and expensive it is to create and make youtube content day in and day out while having a life and family and a job to work around. Not to mention the burn out that occurs with that type of life style. Some of the top youtubers who were making a lot of money have had to quit YouTube because of the adverse effect on their lives. Pewdepie being the most famous one.
