its either that or try and get top 6 players by paying over the odds in transfer fee and wages.

its highly unlikely to get good players by paying a small fee, given the statistics available on every player in this day and age. you couldnt do what moyes did and get a jagielka or cahill from the lower leagues without paying a heavy transfer fee. Look at the prices quoted for grealish and maddison.

I dont see what paying huge amounts for players who have won bugger all does either.

I just want us to sign good players. I don't care how much they are, how old they are, where they are from, what teams they have played for etc. The most important thing is how they fit into what our scheme will be.

..it does but there have been a few other instances of persistent rumours this summer. Plattenhardt looked a definite and was then denied. Carvalho. Now the Croatian Centre Back Vida is getting continuous attention. There might be something in the RL-C rumours, but then again there might not be.

I don't see where the hype for Loftus Cheek is coming from, OK I do it's the London media. I remember Barkley playing for England and being far more effective and losing the ball a great deal less and being criticised. OK he's pissed on his chips with us but I sincerely hope we don't pay big bucks for an inferior player
