This is the last week that players have off before pre season starts and most contracts run up to the end of June. I think we will see all clubs start to get active now as they try to put their squads in place to avail of the full pre season where possible. I think we will see activity increase with each passing day and of course we will start to see players at the World cup start to become available as they are eliminated.
I think we may go back to the model when David Moyes was in charge where we saw incremental improvement year on year. When we were careful in the market, where sell on value becomes important again. I believe there will be money available when we want to sign a player but it will no longer be a headless chase for players because the can be bought.

Let’s see how he does against the better sides , if he gets to play

Ignore the World Cup, would you sign him based on what he has done in the Premiership so far ?
The World cup is littered with players who look really good but have already failed in the English game.
I think Brands has already said they won't be buying based on World cup performances.

This time last year, I would have been well up for Zouma BUT he was so poor and lost last season.

We do now have a coach so Silva could bring him back to where he was before that loan when he played sporadically and looked pretty classy but it is a risk based on last season.

Zouma is a great shout. Ticks every box: quick, tall, strong, powerful defender who isn’t a complete donkey on the ball.

I can’t see where he fits at Chelsea so he could be available for a reasonable price.
