Exactly the point. Impressing in 2 games against Tunisia and Panama is not enough to make a proper assessment. We shouldn't be drawn into buying based on looking good in the world cup.

I think he's a decent player though. He started to play well in the palace side as the season went on and with a full season played he will be better next year.

if Chelsea have learned from previous mistakes they won't sell the lad. He looks a talent, granted he's not the finished article but he's a very good player and he's now an England International. If they sell him now for 30m (which is more than he's worth in reality but the current market is mental) then there is every chance they'll be cursing it further down the line if he then moves to a massive club for seriously big money. Their best option is to loan him out again. Palace was fine place to start but he now needs the next level, to play for a team looking to break into Europe. After that they can determine if he's the sort of player to contribute to a title challangeor sell him on.
