not being funny but if you called him Rodriguez and someone posted a link up of his record and stuff for only 5 million people would be wanting to sign someone like that as a back up. 15 goals for a back up striker? bargain!
i mean noone had heard of Payat yet im sure you could pull some quotes making him out like he was what we needed for those few days.
Kone is/was a decent back up striker for us. Sadly it went tits up once we bought him but if it hadnt he would have scored a few more ober 2 years to justify his place in the squad.

Because he'd probably play less there than he does here. And they aren't in the CL anyway. It'd make no sense.

Wonder how much would Salzburg want for Jonathan Soriano. He could be a perfect back-up striker. He's deffo too big for Austrian league (his goalscoring record is ridicolous), he's a spanish lad so have a connection with Martinez and Austrian Bundesliga it's not that bad for scouting if you look at players like Mane or Kampl.
He's 30 this year but he's a monster in front of a goal. He's regular in Europe as well - last season he scored 11 in EL and this year 6. Add two goals in a CL and you look at a real good forward.

cant be arsed googling it but his record is good for what is essentially a back up striker for 5 million.
yes he was out for like 18 months or whatever it was but seriously you dont think over 2 years he wouldnt have mirrored 15 goals from a poor wigan team? He easily would have matched Naismiths tally as a back up.
but more to the actually specific he got 15 goals for our manager whilst being relegated!
