Simon Jones in the Mail writing about us being after Shaqiri and that we're talking to his former clubs to see what kind of character he is. With the Mail its important to look at who writes the articles rather than it being the Mail, if that makes sense..

Everton are back on the trail of Inter Milan midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri.

The 23-year-old Switzerland international only joined from Bayern Munich in January but Inter are looking at ways to restructure their squad and want to assess what interest is in the market for some of their players.

Although Roberto Mancini stated last week that Shaqiri has a place in his plans, finances may dictate otherwise. Everton are exploring options and have sounded out his former clubs about his character.

Switzerland international Shaqiri only joined Inter Milan in January but the Italians could be tempted to sell

Shaqiri joined Inter on an initial loan with view to a £12.8million fee following to Bayern. Stoke were also in the hunt.

Didn't He come and out say he wants to fight for his place ? Would be decent signing if we could pull it off. Also just read Mertens at 10 mil , he has got to be a must ? Surely Rom and Kev can have a word with him :)

That actually seems like something Martinez would want to do. Interesting stuff in that article, also says we want a new RB even if Coleman stays, Henen will sign on Wednesday and go out on loan and we have said Coleman and Stones are not for sale (although he speculates that if a huge offer comes in we might accept it). Seems like pretty believable stuff rather than the normal rubbish you find in the Mail.

MUNTARI has left Milan, I repeat MUNTARI has left Milan...

I'd quite like the Bloodhound (in his heyday)... but I think he more than anyone needs some scrutiny/character references! Seems a bit Eto'o-esque in his sh*t-stirring tendencies...

MUNTARI has left Milan, I repeat MUNTARI has left Milan

Cheeky move. Cheeky join. Cheeky scorey a goaly. GOALY!

Also, I know it's sunny, but put more lemo in that shandy...

"The Alpine Messi" - can I just clarify - does this mean that he's as good as Messi now, or that he's going to be as good in the future as Messi is now ?

... and if this guy's the Alpine Messi, does that make Tony Hibbert the Scouse Dani Alves ?
