Chelsea,City and arsenal are untouchable top 4. And i cant see past UTD for the fourth spot, the wedge there spending is insane
Difficult certainly. Apart from Chelsea I wouldn't see the other two untouchable. City looked to be badly creaking last season and Toure (might leave/older) and Milner gone, Sterling might not live up to the hype etc you never know. Arsenal do look strong but they aren't hugely different to the team we almost beat to 4th two seasons ago.

Hopefully we'll catch them all cold at the start of the season and that will help us.

No it's not. With Nolito we would have a first eleven that would be as good as anyone's man for man except for Chelsea. If we where lucky with injuries it would be possible.

Liverpool, Spurs, City and Utd are all in transition.

Man for man vs Arsenal? vs City? No Chance.

IMO no team with Howard in goal can challenge for top 4... and that's just for starters.

First team we aren't far off and while I agree Howard is a liability he's also capable of getting his act together as well. In Martinez' first season he was a world beater and even towards the end of the season he was starting to get some of that form back. Unfortunately for us I get the feeling the whole World Cup etc caused him to drop his concentration and it was only Robles coming in and doing a good job that made him refocus.

They have the better teams certainly and over a season you would expect them to finish above us but we're closer to them than ever before.

Mate I love your enthusiasm and we all wish what you were saying was true... but sadly we're not.

Howard's done. 2013/14 should have been his last yr. Even at his very best he doesn't come close to Cech, Hart, DeGea or the kid at Chelsea. Not even close!

As for the rest of the squad, I'm sure Martinez would love to show the old guard the door. Howard, Hibbert, Barry, Osman, Pienaar, Kone etc... should have all been long gone. He simply hasn't got the money to make the changes he wants and hence I come back to my original point about McGeady.

Martinez has been chasing him for yrs. He tried desperately to sign him at Wigan and rates him highly. He's going nowhere.

The top four from this season will be the top four fro last. Us, Spurs, Liverpool and one other team (West Ham/Swans/Sotton) battling for 5-7.

Mertens any good? Not taken notice of him.

Odubajo and byran for backups to deulofeu and coleman...? H0w much for the pair?
