But Shaqiri is meant to have already turned down moving to Merseyside once

Gianluca Di Marzio’s website claims that Liverpool offered €20m for the Switzerland international winger, with Inter Milan only going as high as €15m - a deal which is initially a loan, with an option to buy in the summer.

Does nobody else find it a touch worrying that Inter apparently want to sell Shaqiri after only 6 months with little or no profit on his 15m signing fee?

Yes, very much so.

Very concerning IMO.

I know they have labelled it as a squad restructure., but it smells.

Mertens is on his holiday

Looking at an Inter forum, no idea if the info is correct or not but apparently when they signed Shaqiri

L'affare implica un prestito semestrale gratuito e 15 milioni di riscatto obbligatorio. A questi si aggiungono altri 2 milioni di bonus, 1 per il terzo posto, l'altro dopo 15 presenze.

FREE LOAN, 15m obligation to buy in summer +1m bonus after 15 apps +1m bonus if we finish 3rd.

Mancini was already in charge (Nov 2014) so the January transfer and agreement must presumably been agreed with him. There doesn't appear to have been any problems on the pitch, the fans seem surprised that he is been linked away, and they have money yet don't want to sign permanently a talented 23 year old.

And if the above info is true why were Bayern so keen to get him out of their club they offered a free loan?

The whole inter team where rubbish and I've never particularly liked Mancini as a manager.
