Any news on the Januzay speculation?

Thats my worry - going from Nolito, Konoplyanka, Mertens and Shaqiri and then we go and end up with him.

Seems to me that we will see all our wide midfielders cleared out leaving Deulofeu RW.

McGeady £1mil+
Pienaar free next season

I'd guess Martinez has about £15mil left so with these two sales possibly £26mil.

Linked to Mertens and Shaqiri for £10mil odd each and also need a centre back.

Just posing a question here, if we could sign those two for £20mil combined would you be happy with that or would it be better for us to go for one player for £20mil ?

That sort of money buys a Yarmolenko or an Isco level player..maybe even Bernardo Silva for cash + Mirallas...?

Out of the bunch of names you mention, Januzay is the only player I have seen i action. I can therefore not relate. But from what I have seen from Januzay, I hope he is a main target.

Mertins for me out of all these players mentioned, get him for £10m and Ziyech for about £7m and we would be top 4. Of course we would have to sell first.

Maybe he's disruptive in the dressing room? That's the only reason I could think that Bayern would offer a free loan followed by Inter selling for no profit.

I think it might have more to do with Inter's finances than anything to do with Shaqiri.

Inter signed Kondgobia for £22m last week. Their president is also worth $960m so i dont think money is an issue for Inter.

Why is mertens only 10mil.

Why is shaqiri able to leave inter.

Must be reasons they are available...

1. Because that's how much that calibre of player is. Kev will only go for around 10m who's similar age, ability.
2. Inter are rebuilding their whole team. Loads of top targets are leaving there including Kovacic plus Mancini is total nut job.

We'd be stupid not too and i know Martinez has sent people to watch VVD.
Problem is, if Celtic are only willing to pay £1m for McGeady we might struggle, he's worth more than that too IMO. But, Celtic signed a CB yesterday to go along with Boyata, so i think they may be preparing for VVD to leave.

Probably not but there's no reason we couldn't. We need one and Kev otherwise we would only be left with 2 wingers and McGeady. McGeady looks to be going if he's asking Celtic for a move so maybe he's already been told Martinez' plans. That leaves 2 wingers so therefore we need another.

Both are better than Lennon plus both bring something extra to the team that Lennon does. Mertens on the left, Shaqiri in the center. Lennon is similar to Del in the fact he plays on the right.

Now if we miss out on Shaqiri we can still play Del in the center and Lennon on the right but Del's untested there and while I think eventually that might be his best position I wouldn't want him to take on that responsibility.
