Good player but with Cleverly signing and his looking to go to the RS not a chance. Apparently he's just like Barkley, pros and cons.

When I've seen him he's been pretty underwhelming, and hasn't really played anything like Barks either. A better passer, and looks better as a deep lying playmaker.

I know that the Perisic rumours are getting a little old now, but I've just seen that Inter are supposed to be tabling a bid for him, to the tune of 15m. He was on the wing against us, where he was very effective, but he's played in more advanced and central roles before for Dortmund/Wolfsburg. Could be versatile as a winger/CAM in one sweet, Croat combo.

Would be a real coup, especially since Wolfsburg are in the Champions League and have no need to sell (esp. if De Bruyne leaves). Can't see it but yes, would love to have him here.

Sadly I think that ship has sailed with regard to perisic. Banged on about putting a bid in for him in January, but at 15m we won't stand a chance.

What about Max Gradel for the LW if we can't get Payet or Perisic?
Decent season for St Etienne under his belt and knows what it's like to play in England.

...I like the rumours on the other thread with at least some tenuous substance to them but it wasn't so long ago that there was none of this stuff. No newspaper leaks, no links, no internet you just woke up to discover a transfer was complete from literally out of the blue.

I hope Martinez has kept an eye on the U-20 World Cup and abuses the U-21 Euros to get us some potential this summer. There was some very good players in the Germany team that just got knocked out amongst others from the other nations.
