I hope Martinez has kept an eye on the U-20 World Cup and abuses the U-21 Euros to get us some potential this summer. There was some very good players in the Germany team that just got knocked out amongst others from the other nations.
Posted a tweet about Honduran striker Alberth Elis in the other thread, mods told me to move my business here
Anyway; the player himself was quoted last week saying talks with Everton had begin. Might be a goer this one
Having watched Germany first hand here in Christchurch for four games, I agree. Their ball control, close passing and counter attacking reminded me of a team in blue at its best. As did the odd lapse in concentration letting in a goal. Surprised when they got knocked out.
Put your shirt back on you tit!
Kovalenko tore the US apart when they played in the group stageYeh some of the bigger players like Brandt at Leverkused would be hard to get but I thought Stendara (Frankfurt) and Stark (Nuremburg in the 2nd division) looked particularly impressive. Have you see many other teams play? Kovalenko (Shakhtar) for Ukraine before their exit looked exciting.

Not an awful move to just stay at shakhtar and break into their first team if he progresses to that level, chance to play in the CL which could help earn a move if he wants itYeh he was class in the UEFA Youth League too as Shakhtar got to the final. Quite a few decent players for the Ukraine youth team (keeper is class) however Ukranians very rarely make it out of their country. Player's like Kovalenko would explode - in my opinion - if they could get themselves into a decent European academy.

From what I've read apparently Wegner really rates him but I definitely think he could handle a loan to the championship. Carter Vickers whose at Spurs had a great tourney as well, only 17 atm though so might be a year or so away. Was really impressed with the GK steffen who just moved to Freiburg in JanYeh he was class in the UEFA Youth League too as Shakhtar got to the final. Speaking about the US though... is Zelalem wasting his time at Arsenal? I could see him doing quite well in the Championship already. Hyndman is the same age and build and looks very useful at Fulham. Was also impressed with what I've seen of Palmer-Brown so far.
