We need 2 quality CBs but Williams will be starting next season no matter what so I think we'll only buy one

Have we actually bid for anyone then? I'm presuming the 8 M figure for pickford banded about in the echo is false. We start pre season in 3 weeks, and have a big europa campaign ahead. If they know Lukaku is going why can't we spend in advance?

Unless we can't bid until we sell and the money is in the account confirmed. Counting chickens before hatched and all that, only reasonable reason I can fathom.
