If targets are to be believed looks like we have abandoned our transfer strategy of established players like the Witsel, Mata, Sissoko and Koubaily's of this world.

Changing our approach to trying to identifying the next big thing, Sandro, Klassen, Keane, Pickford.

I wonder have the club on reflection of their lack of ability to get deals across the line this time last year softened their cough and gone with a different strategy.

Or

Maybe we are seeing the impact of Walsh behind the scenes, identifying left field picks for value.

Seems a tangible change in our approach from last summer to this.

And tbf we had our fingers burned last summer by pursuing targets who were out of our league as far as our current status is concerned

This summer Koeman and Walsh have had time to analyse our squad properly and identify where we need to strengthen. Also there appears to be an acknowledgement that the really established stars are mostly out of our reach currently, so going after the prospective stars at clubs with less financial muscle than us makes total sense.

It's encouraging because it makes me think we really have learned lessons
 
Lots of you were wetting beds when heard "Forster" half a year ago and now, when we're finally about to buy few proper players, we're apparently "above" anyone that doesn't cost at least 60 million. Everton fans for ya.

A great keeper. Perhaps there are few better options around, but in no way or shape is he crap. And he is miles better than what we have now.

Some thoughts

  • Very quiet week for Weaseling, and disappointingly not a lot of variation, mainly Rooney / Sandro habitat.
  • However I am expecting @themole10 status to be bestowed shortly.
  • Embarrassingly, this ITK God status could start with the site owner
  • @Tubey voted Tory last week, I was shocked, as were we all, but it was tactical apparently.

Was some guy on Twitter, just tried to find the tweet but I can't even find the guy now. His name was something to do with investments who periodically spouted stuff about Everton. This sounds incredibly vague I know, I just want someone to know who I'm talking about for my own sanity! Weird that the account has disappeared

Witnessing him build the rumour about the Theme Park at BMD and then going head to head with the fella who owns MACK coasters was a Twitter highlight.
