We would never pay 30 million for him. I can guarantee that, it values him at roughly close to the world record which just isn't happening.
why not? Previous world records were before the massive PL money deal. World records will be getting smashed all over the place over the next few years.

Step it up Walshy boy:

BOYD HAS OPTIONS

George Boyd is set to leave Burnley on a free transfer this summer with Derby and Aston Villa among the clubs interested.

Boyd is out-of-contract at Turf Moor and has decided against renewing.

Pickford will be nowhere near £30m, it might get to £20m tops but it doesn't really matter - we have cash now, it's all about attracting the right kind of player & selling those players the ambition to which the Club is aiming.

The 'really' top players will be with us within 2 years.

Slowly, slowly ... catch the monkey.

These are very exciting times to be an Evertonian.

..Tuesday's rumour round-up;

- Clubcall website links Everton with a move for Brentford's Spanish forward, Jota, who could be available for £8m.

- The Mirror and Express say Lukaku's move to Chelsea is almost done.

- The Irish Independent reports Middlesbrough are about to make a move for Aiden McGeady.

- The Mirror reports Barkley has turned down a final contract offer worth £100k per week. Everton have now walked away from negotiations to concentrate on the acquisition of Sigurdsson and Klaassen.

- 4th Official mentions that Sandro 'flew in for talks' with Everton regarding a £5.2m move.

- TalkSport link the Toffees with Sassuollo hotshot Diego Falconelli. Torino are also keen.

- The Croydon Advertiser reports Crystal Palace will join Everton and West Ham for the signature of Man City forward, Iheanacho.

- Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf say Everton have opened talks with Ajax but will have to pay £26m for Klaassen.

- Don Balon say Sevilla have made a formal offer for Everton target Lucasz Teodorczyk.

- The Daily Star report Everton interest in Manchester United defender, Chris Smalling.

- The Sunderland Echo suggest Arsenal lead Everton in the race to sign 17 year old forward, Joel Asoro.
You're a legend eggs

I would be happy for Pickford, Keane, Sandro, Klassen, Siggurdsun and some Rooney as a cherry on the cake.

I get the feeling the Rom could stay (not by choice) and Barkley might be the one to go.

Whilst that sounds easy, we have to consider our wage bill with FFP.

I'm sure the board have done everything financially possible to try and convince him to stay whilst also giving RK some room to bring new faces in.

Any extra 30k sounds nothing but in reality that's over an addition 1mill to a wage budget in the region of 75-80mill which we are probably constrained by?
FFP and STCC are irrelevant, so don't worry about them, we made so much profit this year were no where near FFP and as for wages we can spend an extra 30-50 mil before we sell Ross or Rom

Yes but not for a 21 year old goalkeeper who for all intents and purposes has done nothing to warrant a huge price tag. If the lad had single handedly kept sunderland up then fair enough but he is just a young keeper who looks like he 'could' be good. If we want him based on that hopeful potential then great, but when you look at much better goalkeepers going for much less than 30 million, from a relegated club as well, that price is far too high for any sensible club to be signing at.

considering Sunderland could essentially bring shay given in for a year and cover the position, it will be pure profit from them what we pay for Pickford.
