Have to improve the squad, like City and Chelsea did before the big names would come. City only got Robinho because he thought he was going to Chelsea.

If we had CL different story but we don't, Keane, Pickford are better then we currently have. No idea about Sandro or Klass as never seen either play

Im very happy with them. My post was in response to someone asking if them signing would make Rom want to stay

I'm not sure why so many on here are keen on Rom being replaced by Burnley's Andre Grey....he's a bit 'meh' isn't he?

I don't think anyone on here has said they'd be happy with that as a straight replacement. He'll be a squad player at most, surely.

Basically, players that were 21 or younger when the qualifying campaign started are allowed to play in the tournament. Fair if you think about it.

Wasn't Niasse playing for our U23 last year? He's 27 I think... Or are the rules different if they don't even have a locker lol

The kid at QPR has turned down a new contract offer i see.

The fact that 4 England U20 WC winners (would have been 5 with Tom Davies being a regular for them) had made appearances for the same Premier League team should have a lot of top prospects desperate to sign for us. Especially English ones.

I think we will go back in for the City CB Adarabioyo, the Sheff Wed striker Hurst and this lad too.

I agree mate, its two tier system we are operating, an A and B team in the senior and U23's recruiting for both is key.

Everton seem to be thriving in this model.

Hopefully get some confirmed transfers over the next few days. Can't argue with the club being organised and out of the traps early, so credit where its due at the very least to them on that.

Would be great to get Pickford, Klaassen, and Sandro in early, and then move for Keane.

Expect Lukaku will be gone soon, and those four signings would be 80-100% accounted for more or less by what we should get for him. Not that that's the be-all and end-all, but at least we should have flexibility to add a few more thereafter.

Be great if Sigurdsson could be signed as well, and we need another striker in addition to Sandro, if he does indeed sign.

Need 6 new incomings as a mimimum, but we may well stretch that and add 1-2 others for depth as well. Lots of outgoings as well as incomings ahead I would think.

Tom was not in there group u20s but u19s Liam Walsh would of been only for injure

Don't mean to be pedantic but Davies hasn't ever been part of the U20's.

Smalling being linked with us now. I'd be surprised if it's true, but if it is, he would be a hell of a signing to partner with Williams. Imagine, in the next week get

Pickford
Sandro
Klaasen
Smalling
Gifi

while, the RS just make apologies

The rules for club under 23s are different to internationals, clubs are allowed over age players in order to get them back up to match fitness.
