I've honestly no idea, but his name is impossible to pronounce. So it's a thumbs up from me.

Difficult to pronounce when sober, just imagine after a few drinks before the game. He'd just be referred to as 'the turk'. Even funnier if the street end came up with a song for him, whereby they had to sing his name.

There's literally nothing to bed-wet about atm.

Yes, there's probably a long way to go in all of these deals and if they cock up then fine, that's reason for concern.

But the 'ambition' card proper gets on my nerves.

All of those players mentioned by the OP represent very good signings and actually all of them would be 'coups' of a sort - as in we'd have to fight off competition from other good clubs to get them in.

I think there is a bit of knee jerk over-reaction to events (real and imagined) reported in this thread.
People need to exercise a bit more rationality.

All of these deals are 'ambitious'. But most importantly, they all improve areas of the side we need improvement in.

Just putting it out there. One perspective of our transfer dealings as they are rumoured seem to be going the easy route again?

Sandro- release clause
Pickford- relegated
Keane- Burnley
Siggurdson- Swansea

I know it's not as straight forward as that but it just seems a little bit at least that we are not exactly going the difficult negotiation route and going for players who will be easier to sign this summer. Whether it's a good or bad thing who knows right now. If they improve us then great, if they don't in the grand scheme of things then it might be a little bit of a cop out by the board to settle on these players rather than to really show ambition.

I hope they are all boss like but they don't scream ambition either.

Not being funny mate but we tried that last year, Mata, Witsel and Koulibaly... We ended up with none... And the fans were pretty upset... We looked like mugs. Then of course we get the usual suspects coming on saying "oh we only went for them coz they knew they wouldn't come here... Bogus bids".
I think we desperately need fresh faces in now.... No messing around

The Pickford thing has come from Sunderland's side - Percy is reliable as a journo but doesn't have much links to Everton.

Sandro has been spotted with Walsh and Walsh and RK have met with his agent and watched him.

Klaassen has come mainly from the Dutch side as well.

So, i.e., none of the rumours about the above players have come from Everton's side.

No mate, it's just a few people on the forum and on social media. Vast majority of fans will be delighted at our progress.

1. we already have a playmaker that would get into any side outside of the top 6
2. getting into any side outside of the top 6 isn't really that ambitious given we are already the best club outside of the top 6

Our fans are never happy.

All agree we need a new keeper.....so we buy a new keeper.....instead of universal hugs as we have done a deal in the first week of the window... paid too much for potentially the best keeper since big Nev.
